EWA – Minister meets MP’s

 

In accordance with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, to activate further cooperation and coordination between the legislative and executive authorities, the Electricity and Water Affairs Minister, Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza, met with House of Representatives’ Financial and Economic Affairs Committee Chairman Ahmed Al Amer and members.

The minister gave a comprehensive presentation on Bahrain’s achievements in renewable energy and energy efficiency and projects implemented in this area, he also spoke of the progress that has been made in terms of the attention of the leadership and the government to encourage utilization of clean energy and to activate their use for sustainable energy and green environment.

Dr. Mirza said it is important to ensure that the legislative authority is informed of developments, plans and projects related to renewable energy to have a clear and integrated picture of this vital sector and the steps that have been taken through the directives of the leadership for the implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency plans under the chairmanship of the Minister of Electricity and Water.

The minister also praised the sincere efforts made by the members of the House of Representatives to discuss issues affecting the interests of the citizens. He also praised the effectiveness of the cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities in achieving the aspirations of citizens and improving the quality and efficiency of services provided.

The MP’s praised the initiative and the efforts of the minister and officials in the electricity, water and sustainable energy sectors in seeking and working to improve the quality of services and access to excellence, stressing that enhancing the means of communication and continuous meetings between the executive and legislative authority would result in several development objectives being achieved.
