Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain opened the 7th Annual Human Resources Management Conference at the Diplomat Radisson Hotel.

The event is organized by the Roshcom Foundation. Top executives, VIP’s and decision makers in the human resources sector were present. Global and regional companies and experts in human resources and major competent organizations are attending.

The minister spoke on the management of human resources in the modern era and cited a recent example of the government in the field of stimulating administrative innovation. He talked about the programme of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, put forward two months ago, in which all the state employees participated in giving more than 560 ideas.

Fifty of these were initially selected, and 12 made the final cut. Twelve ministries participated in the evaluation. “Such programmes help create an environment and a culture of creativity and innovation,” he said.

“This important event marks the seventh time that this conference was opened since its first meeting in April 2009. We are all aware that we are living in a rejuvenated world, indeed a rapidly changing world,” he added.

The conference, which runs through November 28, is the region’s premier event for human resources and manpower, dedicated to human capital management and training needs. It attracts HR leaders and training professionals to meet in Bahrain and provides insights into human resource development, applies international best practices and is specifically designed for the Middle East markets. It includes three interactive workshops on important human resources strategies.
