The who’s who of the equestrian world, the elite of Dubai’s society and tens of thousands of racegoers will limber up and down their finery for the culmination of Dubai’s World Cup Carnival – Dubai World Cup day on March 25.

The region’s premier equestrian event pays tribute to the Arabian love affair with horses and is also one of the UAE’s biggest social and sporting events.

Held at at the iconic Meydan Racecourse, with the stunning Greystand taking centre stage, this is the day when USD30 million worth of prizes is handed out to the winners of the day’s nine races. Savour the atmosphere, enjoy the hospitality and don’t miss the after-race concert drawing some of the biggest names in the world of music and the dazzling display of fireworks!

The Dubai World Cup fixture is set against one of the most iconic sporting theatres, the state-of-the-art Meydan Racecourse. The architectural masterpiece measures 1.2km in length and can seat over 60,000 in its grandstand.

It is the conclusion of the UAE racing season, featuring nine high-class races including six Group 1 and three Group 2 contests. Racing is brought to a close by the the US$10m Dubai World Cup, won in 2016 by California Chrome.

Festivities on Dubai World Cup day end with the spectacular Dubai World Cup show and live music concert. In 2016 international recording artist, Janet Jackson performed a leg of her Unbreakable world tour at the Dubai World Cup.
