‘Festival City’, one of the main events held during the fourth edition of the Bahrain Shopping Festival ‘Shop Bahrain’, concluded on Saturday 27 January 2018 with tremendous success, attracting more than 70,290 visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain since its launch on 11 January 2018.
The ‘Festival City’ included a number of family-oriented activities including carnival games, an outdoor market, and live performances including daily musical bands in addition to various food vendors.
“It gives us a great pleasure to witness the success of the ‘Festival City’, which has exceeded expectations. This year, we ensured to host a Festival which included exciting activities suitable for the entire family. This comes in line with Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority’s long-term strategy to further develop Bahrain’s tourism, which contributes towards the Kingdom’s economy and the 2030 Economic Vision,” said the Chief Executive Officer of BTEA, H.E. Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa.
The 30-day celebration which will run until 10th February, aims to offer a fun-filled calendar of events for the entire family and a chance to win valuable prizes when shopping including a luxury apartment located in Juffair, 20 cars, and more than 80,000 instant prizes.
‘Shop Bahrain’ also launched the ‘Taste Tour’ that brings together more than 40 participating restaurants offering participants the opportunity to win a Nissan Patrol in the ‘Taste Tour’ raffle draw.
In addition, the participating malls will continue to host line-up of events which aim to offer visitors an unforgettable experience until the conclusion of ‘Shop Bahrain’. Shoppers will be enrolled in the Festival’s loyalty system when purchasing directly from any participating outlet and partner allowing them to win a wide range of prizes including a luxury apartment, 20 cars, and more than 80,000 instant prizes.
