FIGHT GYM COBRA FITNESS TO OPEN ITS FIRST FACILITY IN BAHRAIN

Cobra Fitness, the popular fight gym in Abu Dhabi, is bringing its unique concept to the Kingdom of Bahrain with the opening of a brand new facility in Hala Plaza, Zinj.

From its humble beginnings in 2009, with head trainer and owner Mat Dryden holding pads in a small hotel gym in an Abu Dhabi hotel, Cobra Fitness has grown into a renowned and respected fight camp and fitness facility. This new huge two-story multi purpose fitness space in Bahrain will offer 440m2 of mat space, a 300m2 full lifting gym, a separate studio and full size boxing ring. Classes will range from Muay Thai and BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) for adults and children to Boxing, MMA, Abs Destruction, Spartacus, Fighters Fitness and the brand new KO8 Suspension & Resistance Training.

Due to open at the beginning of September, Cobra Fitness Bahrain is a clone of the original UAE space with its distinctive black and green decor and walls emblazoned with graffiti. The gym will be run on a day-to-day basis by Sam Brett under the guidance of Dryden. Alongside all the different workout areas there will be separate male and female changing rooms each with saunas, and a cafe area with healthy food and snacks provided by popular Bahrain gourmet deli Sage & Sirloin. Ample free parking is available right outside the door.

Australian Dryden said, “Built on a fighter’s mentality people who train at Cobra Fitness are encouraged to push themselves to their limit. Our slogan ‘Push Till Ya Spew’ is our mantra and our unique motivation methods are well known in Abu Dhabi.”

He added “My trainers will replicate the level of classes and personal training available in Abu Dhabi, maintaining consistency across both centres. This new venture is exciting and I’m super pumped to bring Cobra Fitness to Bahrain and welcome everyone who’s looking to add something new to their fitness game.”

Hala Plaza is the newly constructed commercial centre, sister to nearby Tala Plaza. Once fully operational, Hala Plaza which is near the New Millennium School, will be not only be the home of Cobra Fitness Bahrain but also retail outlets, boutiques, cafes and a landscaped walking track.
