The equity partners of Cluttons have elected Steven Morgan, their current Middle East CEO, as the business’ new senior partner, with the role to commence at the start of the company’s new financial year in April.

Morgan, who is an existing board member of Cluttons and has been with the company for 13 years will become the youngest Senior Partner in the company’s 250 year history at 39 years of age.

Morgan will take on the role having successfully led the Cluttons’ market leading Middle East operations since 2013. During that period Morgan has almost doubled the Middle East business’ turnover, from AED 45.6 million (£8.5m) in 2013 to an expected revenue in excess of AED 80.5 million (£15m) during the 2016/17 financial year.

Morgan will succeed the current senior partner Bill Siegle, who will be stepping down after seven years in the role and 19 years as an equity partner at Cluttons. Under Bill’s leadership Cluttons has grown significantly through entering new markets and now operates in more than 50 countries worldwide. The business has also integrated new services, completed a successful re-brand and of course celebrated its 250th birthday.

Morgan joined Cluttons in Bahrain as an associate during 2003 and then moved to Dubai, becoming head of office in 2008 and then head of UAE in 2009. By the time Morgan became Middle East CEO in 2013, he had worked on some of the region’s most exciting projects including advising on the Arabian Canal in Dubai (which was the largest civil engineering project of its kind since the construction of the Suez canal), estate management advice to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) across the MENA and APAC regions and, more recently, has led on the Villa Lantana project which has so far achieved more than AED 537 million (£100m) of new home sales.

Steven Morgan, said, “I am delighted to have been chosen to take on the mantle from Bill who leaves us with a firm foundation for taking Cluttons forward. We are in a great position to build upon the business’ outstanding reputation, to continue to grow our successful UK business, our market leading business in the Middle East and expand into new markets. The partners and I are looking forward to continuing Bill’s excellent work in driving the firm’s development and growth.”

Bill Siegle, outgoing Senior Partner, said “Steven is an exceptional member of the Cluttons team and has contributed significantly to the business’ growth and the development of our international platform. His drive for developing the business, along with his experience on the board, means he’s perfectly placed to take Cluttons forward.”

Morgan who is based in Dubai with his family will now split his time across the international business which now covers more than 50 countries worldwide.
