Ahmed Bukhatir, a talented singer, author, and businessman created history when he was announced as one of the top 3 winners of Montegrappa Writing Prize from Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2016.
Bukhatir‘s ‘Dragon Boy’ won the third prize from the worldwide submissions. Bukhatir, who has gained immense popularity worldwide with his angelic voice, spreading peace and love, is on the way to publish fantasy and fiction across the globe.
By marking his name in the list of Montegrappa Writing Prize winners, he has achieved another milestone. The Montegrappa Writing Prize was held for the fourth consecutive year as first-time writers were invited to submit their writings for a potential novel to be judged by UK literary critic Luigi Bonomi.
In 2016 competition, over 170 submissions were made by writers excited to broaden new horizons of writing and publishing.
Bukhatir‘s ‘Dragon Boy’ won the third prize from the worldwide submissions, thus became the first Emirati to win this award.
Well known for the flare of uniqueness and novelty in his music, Bukhatir has again presented himself as a source of inspiration for the writers in UAE. This achievement will enable Bukhatir to publish his book globally across the most important publishing houses and global distribution in Europe, the United States and across the world.
The Montegrappa Writing Prize, launched by Emirates Airline Festival of Literature in 2013 with Montegrappa and Luigi Bonomi Associates, is a Prize aimed exclusively at UAE residents who have never had a novel published. All entries are read by Luigi Bonomi Associates and the winner receives a trip to London Book Fair and lunch with Bonomi.
