Fujifilm GFX 50S Test

If you have read our previous article on the Fujifilm the GFX 50s, this time I am sharing with you sample images taken with the camera using a Fujinon GF 32-64 f/4 lens. From my perspective, using the GFX 50s felt like handling I was handling a DSLR camera with a pro glass on it. The real difference is sensor wise; Fuji has a bigger sensor being a medium mirror less format camera.  I tried using it for both indoor and outdoor photo shoot. The outputs are amazing and I have no words to describe the image details and how dynamic the range of this camera is. Another plus factor of the GFX 50s is having a articulated LCD screen which is also touch screen enabled. And if you want to check your image preview with a better perspective, you can best check the image from your viewfinder and see its details. The sharpness and detail of pictures are beyond my expectation. and ergonomically easy to handle.

For its down part, you will need a higher SD card as each raw file would be at a minimum 110MB. It means if you have a 32gb SD card you are likely to have approximately 247 images stored.  The flash speed sync is at 1/125; yes it is only at that speed. So if you are planning to shoot outdoor as I did, I needed to put an ND filter to compensate using wide aperture lens to obtain a perfect ambient light for my output. Another thing I noticed was that there was no dedicated exposure compensation. No Image stabilization unlike in other cameras.

These are the factors I noticed with my first hand test of the Fujifilm GFX 50s. Watch this space for another set of sample images as I take GFX 50s tested in an actual event scenario.
