On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for the Environment, attended the official opening ceremony of Hawar Resort by Mantis, hosted by the Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company Edamah, the real estate arm of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat).

His Highness was received by a number of senior dignitaries and officials and the management of Mantis Hotel Group.

His Highness noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is seeing rapid growth in its tourism sector, driven by a portfolio of high-quality projects that showcase the nation’s natural beauty, rich environmental assets, and deep-rooted history and civilization. These elements, he noted, serve as key attractions for investments that strengthen Bahrain’s competitiveness on both the regional and global tourism stages.

Hawar Resort is the first of three exciting tourism projects under development on Hawar Island.  Managed by Mantis, which is owned by Accor S.A., the resort features 104 tastefully designed luxury rooms and villas, including luxury overwater villas and beach villas with private pools, alongside classically appointed rooms in the main building. Guests can indulge in a range of activities, from exploring the pristine island ecosystem to enjoying the Bear Grylls Adventure Zone and innovative culinary experiences at five distinct dining venues.

The resort is scheduled to open its doors to visitors and tourists in January 2025, offering unparalleled experiences that connect visitors to the island’s heritage and biodiversity.
