HH Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad praises agreement between BREEF and ZHO

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs praised the recent agreement signed between Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) and Zayed Higher Organization (ZHO) For People of Determination in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The signed agreement aims at achieving constructive cooperation in the field of humanitarian work and the rehabilitation of autistic children.

On this occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the agreement signed between the two sides represents an important form of constructive cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in various fields, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

His Highness said: “The Bahraini-Emirati relations are witnessing a remarkable development in various fields, especially in the sports side, and we in the Kingdom are keen to harness sports for humanitarian work and actively contribute to the rehabilitation and treatment of autistic children through equestrian sports, which contribute to the creation of constructive and strong cooperation that supports this dear category and paves the way to create a distinct, healthy and effective environment for treating children with autism.”

Commenting further, HH Shaikh Nasser added: “Signing the agreement between BREEF and the ZHO For People of Determination is a representation of the continuation of bilateral integration and the successful strategic partnership between the institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE in many fields, and also reflects a practical response to the directives of the Wise Leadership in both countries, with regards to the necessity of strengthening cooperation in a way that contributes to achieving the desired goals.”

For his part, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Organisation’s Board of Directors, expressed appreciation to BREEF and welcomed the signing of the agreement between the Federation and ZHO, at the same time His Highness lauded the bilateral bonds linking both brotherly countries, under the leadership of HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Signing the agreement from BREEF’s side was His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, BREEF President, and His Excellency Abdullah Abdulalee Al Humaidan, ZHO General Secretary, in the presence of His Excellency Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Emirati Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Bahraini Ambassador to the UAE.

The agreement represents a framework for cooperation between its two parties, in order to contribute to the rehabilitation of autistic children through equestrian sports, which have a special attraction to them, and contribute to their treatment through programmes, visits and activities agreed in writing in advance between the two parties.

Additionally, the agreement also stipulates that the two parties nominate a (coordinator) whose task is to submit joint reports that include proposals for joint activities and contributions during the period of this memorandum, as well as areas of cooperation and consultations between them on a regular basis and at times determined between them, with the aim of exchanging views and identifying any developments related to joint initiatives.

HH Shaikh Isa commented on this occasion, stating: “The agreement signed between BREEF and ZHO confirms the directives of HH Shaikh Nasser to cooperate with various institutions in the UAE, in order to strengthen cooperation ties between the two countries in various fields, including aspects related to horses and equestrian sports.”

In the same context, HE Shaikh Sultan expressed delight in taking part in the signing ceremony between both brotherly countries, affirming that the agreement will achieve several humanitarian goals in developing the abilities of autistic children in horse and equestrian sports, in line with the directives of the Wise Leadership of both countries.

On his part, HE Shaikh Khalid asserted that equestrian sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE have witnessed remarkable development in recent years, adding that the agreement will ensure the continuity of this improvement, especially on the humanitarian sides, through the rehabilitation of autistic children through this category of sports, wishing BREEF and ZHO all the best and success in the future.
