HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad reviews King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award goals

His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Affairs (SCYS) Chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa affirmed that the launch of King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals on its third edition aims to continue Bahrain’s efforts to support the international community to celebrate youth around the world.

HH Shaikh Nasser said that continuing the King Hamad Award this year despite coronavirus pandemic, reflects Bahrain’s commitment to global youth, and reflects the Kingdom’s support for the efforts of the United Nations in order to give youth the full opportunity to implement sustainable development goals.

He added that the projects that will be presented in this edition from various categories have been linked between achieving the sustainable development goals and ways to combat the coronavirus pandemic and overcome its effects as a prerequisite for the award, which gives the award flexibility and broadens the scope of its interests further.

Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad stressed that the award came to urge the international community, governmental and private bodies, the civil sector and the youth sectors to make more efforts and within the framework of competitiveness in order to achieve international goals.
