H.E Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, inaugurated the third edition of the Falak Unreasonable Thinking Summit on Sunday, March 3 2019, at the Art Rotana Amwaj Hotel, with the participation of a high-level group of experts and a number of students from local and international universities in order to enrich the participants’ experience and enable them to build a better future for the Kingdom of Bahrain. The event is organized by Falak Consulting in cooperation with the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and Tamkeen and supported by a number of national and international companies.
The two-day summit held in collaboration with EDB (Startup Bahrain), GPIC, Peninsula Farms, Kuwait Finance House, Khaleeji Commercial Bank, BANAGAS and BAPCO, is in line with Falak’s purpose of building stronger economies and happier societies by unlocking business and human potential.
In his opening speech, H.E. the Minister of Oil welcomed all the attendees. H.E. highly appreciated the efforts of the Falak Consulting to attract many creative minds from different countries to present different models of development experiences in different fields. Praising the aim of the conference, which seeks to build stronger economies through the exchange of information, experiences and practices and to transform this information and ideas into successful investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
H.E. the Minister said that the world today is the world of modern digital technologies, which are rapidly evolving and changes. H.E. pointed out that these digital changes should be kept up to date and that they should be prepared for everything new in the world arena to invest in establishing several projects that affect the improvement of the standard of living and the national economy in Bahrain.
H.E. the Minister added that the innovation is a driving force for global economic growth. H.E. pointed out that this topic is important in attracting and creating creative and innovative human cadres capable of applying modern technology to reach innovative solutions in eliminating the many problems faced by different industries. Including the oil sector, which is one of the most important sectors in the world.
H.E. pointed out that NOGA is always striving to strengthen its current and future oil projects by training its employees and empowering them in leadership positions through which they can take the appropriate decisions in developing the oil sector and provide specialized researches to develop oil services and products.
At the end of his speech, H.E. the Minister of Oil thanked Mr. Suhail Al-Gosaibi, CEO of Falak Consulting and to all speakers and participants and to all those who contributed to the success of this event in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The third Annual Falak Unreasonable Thinking Summit 2019 saw great response from participants who came to engage with renowned local and international speakers on the topics of innovation, creativity, and unconventional thinking.
The first day’s agenda included papers, presentations and inspirational speeches by Mr. John Sanei, Author and Strategist – South Africa, Dr. Shashi Tharror, Politician – India, Dr. Samer Aljishi, President of BFG International – Bahrain, Mr. Victor Ochen, Nobel Peace Prize Nominee – Uganda and Mr. Cem Tarek, Managing Director, Unilever Middle East – UAE; and a panel discussion which covered various topics including the differences on how social challenges are covered in various regions of the world.
The second day saw papers, presentations and inspirational speeches by Mr Kazuhide Sekiyama, Founder of Spiber Inc – Japan and Ms. Lucia Valencia Dongo, Social Entrepreneur – Peru.
In concluding the event, Mr. Algosaibi thanked all the sponsors, speakers and participants and emphasized that “The Falak Unreasonable Thinking Summit is a true private public partnership that has been created for the benefit of Bahrain, and we will continue to strive to make it better and bigger year on year so that it can be of maximum benefit to our beloved island kingdom.”
