HRH Premier hails Bahrain Thailand Solid Relations

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that the economic field is among the aspects of the distinguished cooperation between Bahrain and friendly Thailand, highlighting the two countries’ shared keenness to bolster bilateral cooperation to serve their solid relations.

HRH Premier stressed the importance of the small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in supporting the government’s efforts in various countries at the level of sustainable development, through their ability to generate more job opportunities for their citizens, as well to promote national products locally and externally.

HRH Premier made the statements while attending the Thai Expo SME One Fest in Bahrain 2019, organised by the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion at the Gulf Convention Hall, in cooperation with the Thai Embassy and the Thai Club in Bahrain.

Upon arrival, HRH the Prime Minister was welcomed by the Thai Ambassador Bahrain, Thanis Na Songkhla, and a number of senior state officials.

HRH Premier was briefed by the Thai Ambassador about the expo, and the Thai products showcased in it.

The Prime Minister also watched a musical show embodying Thai folk art.

Then, HRH Premier toured the expo, and was informed about the Thai products on display.

The Premier expressed admiration for the Thai products, in terms of quality and design, wishing the expo’s officials and participants every success in concluding commercial deals and partnerships that would strengthen the pillars of economic and trade cooperation between the two friendly countries.

The Prime Minister stressed that the Bahraini-Thai relations are progressing steadily across various sectors thanks to the deep-rooted strong bilateral relations that are based on shared belief that cooperation is the best means to achieve rapprochement among peoples.

HRH Premier called on businessmen and the private sector in the two countries to take advantage of the existing promising opportunities to build economic partnerships that would meet the common aspirations.

The Prime Minister lauded the organisation of the Thai Expo in Bahrain, stressing the importance of holding more specialised exhibitions in enhancing trade exchange and boosting joint investments.

The Thai Ambassador expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for attending the Thai Expo, which, he said, reflects his keenness to develop the kingdom’s relations with Thailand.

He asserted that HRH Premier’s gracing the Thai Expo would contribute to achieving its goals of broadening trade relations between Bahrain Thailand through strengthening understanding and coordination between businessmen and merchants in the two countries.
