The all-new INFINITI QX50 premium SUV made its first Middle East appearance in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, last night at an exclusive event hosted at the Dubai Design District.

The much-anticipated model features a range of unique elements including world-first technologies, stand-out design and unrivalled interior. The all-new QX50 pairs INFINITI’s signature ‘Powerful Elegance’ design philosophy with the company’s innovative VC-Turbo engine, the world’s first production-ready variable compression ratio engine.

Markus Leithe, Managing Director Middle East at INFINITI Motor Company said: “The Middle East is a key focus region for INFINITI globally and the all-new QX50 is one of the most important vehicles we’ve unveiled here in the past year.

“Our discerning customers in this region will appreciate the unique and attractive features of this car, including its striking design, dynamic versatility and advanced technology. The all-new QX50 boasts advanced safety features and is the first vehicle in the world to be powered by an engine that can vary compression ratio on the fly, thanks to our groundbreaking VC-Turbo engine. We very much look forward to seeing this car on the region’s roads from September. ”

INFINITI’s all-new four-cylinder 2.0-liter VC-Turbo (Variable Compression Turbo) gasoline engine is the world’s first production-ready variable compression ratio engine, and is one of the most advanced internal combustion engines ever created.  The VC-Turbo changes its compression ratio seamlessly with an advanced multi-link system, continuously raising or lowering the pistons’ reach to transform compression ratio – offering the power of a sprinter and the efficiency of a marathon runner, the best of both worlds.

The all-new QX50 will be available at INFINTI showrooms in the Middle East from September 2018.

Prices start at USD 44,400 excluding VAT.
