“INJAZ Bahrain Inaugurates The Annual Ministry of Education Appreciation Ceremony”

INJAZ Bahrain, a leading non-profit organization, and a major participant in promoting the role of Bahraini youth in the realization of Bahrain’s prosperous future, held a ceremony to thank the Ministry of Education for all the support they have provided with creative engagement, strategic initiatives and economic empowerment. The ceremony, held at the Ministry’s premises, was attended His Excellence, Dr. Fawzi Al Jowder , Mrs. Hana Sarwani, INJAZ Bahrain’s Executive Director, INJAZ Board of Directors, and over 500 attendees, including ministry delegates, volunteers, corporate sponsors, principals and teachers from both public and private schools and universities.

The event ran a busy agenda, starting off with a speech by Ms. Hana Sarwani, INJAZ Bahrain’s Executive Director, followed by an inspiring speech by INJAZ alumni, a speech by a principal of a participating school and a video showcasing INJAZ’s students’ journey through out INJAZ. The event wrapped up with an award recognition session.

In her opening address, Ms. Hana Sarwani stated: “Today, INJAZ Bahrain celebrates its success, honoring the commitment of many individuals in volunteering, sponsoring and participating in INJAZ’s program. The continuous support and devoted efforts of our sponsors and volunteers was the main reason we stand here today. Our implemented programs have reached more than 30,000 students delivered by 1500 volunteers during 2017-2018. The key aim of Implementing programs in schools is to ensure that everyone benefits, not only students, but teachers as well. The implemented programs focus on preparing Bahraini youth for economic success in the future.”

Ms. Hana continued, “We would finally like to express our gratitude to the Ministry for its continuous support, to our volunteers for their committed time, and to our sponsors for believing in us. Together we assist our country in building a well-educated generation ready for the real world.”

Celebrating the importance of knowledge and excellence in education, as a catalyst for youth empowerment, the ceremony highlighted the continuous support and joint cooperation with the Ministry of Education through its excellence in embracing INJAZ’S mission, key strategic initiatives and visionary futuristic approach.

Over the years, MOE was recognized for taking up a vital role in facilitating and implementing INJAZ Bahrain programs in all education institutes across the Kingdom.

INJAZ Bahrain has honored officials who have actively engaged in the organization’s programs, for their efforts in supporting INJAZ’s vision in inspiring and preparing Bahraini youth to succeed in the global economy. Mrs. Hana also honored educational institutes in different categories with best school awards, including primary, intermediate and secondary schools, private schools and universities.

Mrs. Amna Al Sulaiti, Principal of Al Oroba primary school delivered a speech during the event saying” At out school, we highly encourage implementing INJAZ’s programs to help students boost their self confidence through learning new skills and working on creative thinking. Our students have been benefiting from INJAZ’s programs for around 6 years. INJAZ Bahrain has been and will always be a gateway to improvise, to learn and to stand out.”

Mrs. Hana Sarwani, His Excellence Dr. Fawzi el Jowder, Mr. Ali Albaqali – CEO of Aluminum Bahrain and Mr. Mohammed Bu Rashed from Bahrain National Gas presented the awards and certificates of recognition to the following educational institutes; Al Oqbah Bin Nafea School for the best primary school, Al Hidd Boys School for the best intermediate school, West Riffa Girls school for the best secondary school, Arabian Pearl Gulf School for the best private school, and University of Bahrain for the best university. Platinum, gold and silver volunteers from the Ministry of Education have been awarded for their outstanding performance and dedicated volunteering hours.

In accordance to its belief in the boundless potential of young people, INJAZ has been able to reach more than 170,000 students from various schools and universities through more than 6,000 volunteers, aiming to inspire more students annually.
