Designed by studio Venelli Kramer, the mastermind behind the property’s T Beach, T Spa Infinity Pool and new rooftop suites, the newly designed signature T spa, partnered with the leading skincare provider ESPA, is an extension of the world renowned Grand Hotel Tremezzo itself, maintaining many original features whilst reflecting a contemporary, harmonious design. For 2016 facilities on offer at the T Spa include five luxurious treatment rooms, Spa Suite, a hammam, humid area completing the basement,finishing touches studio, infinity pool, gym and an al fresco relaxation lounge facing the lake.
Guests are invited to relax on a lounger and enjoy the panoramic views of the lake, a vista that is just as breathtaking at night as it is under the glow of the Italian sun or indulge in treatments by ESPA under the wooden vaulted ceiling of the TSpa Suite, a serene haven in a colour palette of hushed greys, aquatic greens and icy blues featuring handcrafted wood furnishings from Italian artisan workshops. The magnificent traditional hammam is in stark contrast to the nostalgic décor of the rest of this palatial property, consisting of a central raised massage platform, steam room, sauna, warm bath and rainshower with nebulized waterfall, all realized in white Lasa marble.
For finishing touches such as manicures and pedicures, the Mosaic Studio is a delightful space featuring an authentic Venetian mosaic floor, lovingly preserved and refurbished alongside a focal glass Penta-light chandelier. The manicure tables themselves are tailor made in deep grey oak keeping in tune with the multifarious floor.
Maintaining the neo-classical design, the relaxation lounge located next to the mosaic studio is an opulent space which sees sunlight stream through the restored windows and dance off both the seminato floor and existing fresco ceiling making for a truly enchanting space. The minimal yet elegant furniture here consists of large circular sofas topped with plush velvet cushions in subdued silver enhancing the understated style of the room itself.
The T Spa has been expanded to include the historical three-storey Villa Emilia and there is nothing more exclusive than a stay in Suite Emilia itself, including private access to the spa. Decorated in a classic yet fashionable style, Suite Emilia features delicate colours inspired by the beauty of the lake. The 20sqm bedroom incorporates a Simmons Beauty Rest bed with handmade capitonne headboard and stylish bronze lamps made by Zonca. Suite Emilia also boasts total independence from the main body of the hotel, offering utmost privacy yet retaining all the luxurious comforts of this art nouveau landmark with poetic views of both Lake Como and Bellagio, making for the most romantic of stays.
