Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of Bahrain’s leading Islamic retail banks, announced its organization of a one-day workshop centered on ‘Advanced Female Leadership’, in collaboration with Ernst and Young (EY), on Sunday, the 22nd of November, 2015.
The workshop was conceptualized to be part of the year-long campaign of activities that served to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in the Finance sector in Bahrain, as earlier this year, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), had announced that Bahraini Women’s Day, which is on Tuesday, the 1st of December 2015, would be held under the theme ‘Women in the Financial and Banking Sector’ and this was hosted in the lead up to the significant occasion.
Commenting on the instrumentally advantageous workshop, Mr. Khalil Al Meer, Chief Executive Officer of KHCB said: “On behalf of Khaleeji Commercial Bank, I would like to express my immense pleasure and pride in being able to witness the activation of such an empowering initiative. Keeping the goal of inspiring our female workforce in mind and acting on behalf of the noble directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa to illuminate the efforts and accomplishments of Women in the Finance and Banking Industry, KHCB’s intention was to substantially contribute to their growth through an efficient means and we reiterate our joy in being able to achieve just that.”

The female members of KHCB’s management team participated in the programme with the objectives of learning mindful leadership in the organization, expanding on their effective communication skills within different levels, elaborating on the benefits of team empowerment, coaching them on the DNA performance models to be used to motivate their respective teams to maximize their potential for high performance and to help them to focus on their careers and achieve their personal work goals.
Those employees who partook in the workshop were briefed on the in-depth knowledge and understanding available through the optimum use of advance women leadership and were taught the ability to selectively apply the eclectic range of women empowering skills and techniques whilst demonstrating to them of the importance of leadership in the change process.
