Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of the leading Islamic retail banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced its participation as a silver sponsor in the World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC), held at the Gulf Hotel from the 1st to the 3rd of December 2015.
Held under the theme “New Realities, New Opportunities”, under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the conference discussed the role of technology in delivering financial services – as a bridge towards greater financial inclusion of the 72 pc of Muslims around the world who do not have access to financial services. The conference attracted more than 1,300 high-level industry attendees from over 50 countries.
The Chief Executive Officer of KHCB, Mr. Khalil Ismaeel Al Meer and other management’s members attended the conference representing KHCB.
Mr. Khalil Ismaeel Al Meer, the CEO of KHCB, expressed his pleasure on the Bank’s participation in a conference of such stature by saying: “We are absolutely pleased to continue sponsoring this event, and would be hoping to continue this collaboration for many years to come.
