Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of the leading Islamic Banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has recently activated the “Mobile TAP & GO” Service on Android Smartphones for its “BenefitPay” registered Credit and Debit Cardholders.

This offer adds to a series of innovative digital offers recently launched by the Bank as part of its constant strive to provide a leading and rewarding banking experience for its valued clients. This new service works by swiping the smartphone near a PoS to facilitate the transaction without using plastic cards, which heralds a new era of advanced banking services that has made the Kingdom of Bahrain a role model in this field. To benefit from this service, clients must update the “BenefitPay” application and choose KHCB’s cards.

On this occasion, KHCB Head of Delivery Channels & Cards Department, Mr. Ebrahim Khalil Al Awadhi, stated “We are delighted to announce the “Mobile TAP & GO” service in cooperation with the Central Bank of Bahrain and The BENEFIT Company, which comes within our efforts to make the shopping process easier & safer. The use of payments via Smartphones will contribute to preserving the privacy of recorded data on cards. This step also comes as part of the Bank’s endeavours to provide a flexible banking experience through enhancing security and protection. Therefore, we at KHCB encourage all our clients to begin using this innovative service and enjoy a new level of digital services.”

Mr. Al Awadhi added “KHCB continues its cooperation with all relevant authorities to strengthen the leading position of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the banking sector by offering innovative products and services that are in line with the requirements of the Bank’s valued clients. We thank the Central Bank of Bahrain and The BENEFIT Company for this step towards developing transactions, which we were keen to be one of the first financial institutions providing this service to our clients.”
