KIMS Brings Quality Care to Muharraq

KIMS Bahrain Healthcare (KBH) has officially opened its fourth healthcare institution in Bahrain – KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre (KBMC) in Muharraq.

H.E. Sh. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of Supreme Council of Health inaugurated KBMC Muharraq at an event held at the Centre’s premises. He toured the facility along with officials from Ministry of Health and the Government and congratulated the KIMS’ Management on their endeavors of bringing quality healthcare closer to people.

The occasion was also graced by H. E. Kai Thamo Boekmann, Ambassador of Germany, H.E. Hideki Ito, Ambassador of Japan, H. E Anwar Habib Allah, Ambassador of China and H.E. Alfonso Ver, Ambassador of Philippines.

KIMS Bahrain Healthcare was represented by – Dr. M. I. Sahadulla, Chairman & Managing Director, KIMS Healthcare Group, Mr. Ahmed Jawahery, Chairman, KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre and President, Royal Bahrain Hospital, Dr. Sheriff Sahadulla, Chief Executive Officer, KIMS Healthcare Group and Mr. Jacob Thomas, Executive Director – Operations & Projects (GCC), KIMS Healthcare Group.   

Top officials from insurance companies, corporates, community leaders and social organisations also attended the event in addition to management and staff of KBH.

Aptly located behind the new Muharraq Central Market, the multispecialty centre aims at serving people in Muharraq, Arad, Busaiteen, Galali and beyond.  KBMC Muharraq is equipped with 13 specialties, outpatient and emergency clinics, and facilities and services such as – endoscopy, physiotherapy, diagnostics, radiology, pharmacy and optical outlets.

The 13 specialties include – Internal Medicine, Family Medicine & General Practice, Gynaecology, Pediatrics, ENT, Cosmetology & Dermatology, Ophthalmology, General surgery, Orthopedics, Dental, Urology, Cardiology and Gastroenterology.

Speaking on the occasion of KBMC Muharraq’s launch, Dr. M. I. Sahadulla, Chairman & Managing Director of KIMS Healthcare Group said: “We are extremely happy to expand further in Bahrain with KBMC Muharraq. Our healthcare institutions enjoy immense popularity and goodwill in Bahrain and we will continue to build on our patient centric values and quality care.”

Mr. Ahmed Jawahery, Chairman of KIMS Bahrain Medical Center – KBMC and President of Royal Bahrain Hospital – RBH, said: “KIMS has always strived to maximize its reach and bring healthcare services closer to the community. Since 2004, KIMS has been spreading wellness through its institutions namely – Royal Bahrain Hospital (RBH) in Salmaniya, KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre (KBMC) in Umm Al Hassam and RBH Medical Centre in Riffa (RBHMC).

In addition to KBMC Muharraq, we will be establishing 3 more medical centres in Bahrain, a 75-bed hospital in Umm Al Hassam and partnering on a Post Acute care and Rehabilitation Facility.”
