Kingdom to host Gulf Travel and Tourism Forum 2019

Under the patronage of H.E Sh. Khaled Bin Humood Al Khalifa, CEO for the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, the Kingdom of Bahrain will host the first Gulf Travel and Tourism Forum.

The first-of-its-kind event in Bahrain will take place at Gulf Convention Center on the 23rd to 25th of October 2019 at the Gulf Convention Center, the event is organized by Action Leaders for Women Advancement (ALWANE) and is being managed by Worksmart for Events Management.

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority’s presence in the event will also be a key to boosting key industries and business opportunities.

According to the organizers, the expected attendees include local, regional and international tourism-related businesses such as travel agencies, airlines, lodges, hotels, DMCs who will showcase their services and products during the three-day event. It will also host a cluster of outstanding speakers to deliver a quality knowledge-sharing platform in the conference.

It will allow visitors to gain a better understanding of local tourism destinations, products. The forum aims to provide a platform for Bahraini’s hospitality industry to promote and market their products and services to all involved in the industry, including the public.

Forum’s primary objective is promoting Bahrain as one of the top MICE destinations in the region, where the organizers assures that this project will foster the image of Bahrain not only as a tourist destination but a globally competitive country for MICE tourism.

The list of candidates for participating in the Gulf Travel and Tourism Forum 2019 includes a number of tourism industry entities from hotels, airlines, travel agencies, tour operators, other Bahrain, the Arabian Gulf and the region, as well as leading leisure destinations in Bahrain, travel agencies and agencies around the world, International, tourist promotion offices and others.

On the sidelines of Gulf Travel and Tourism Forum are number of activities that reflect Bahraini’s hospitality, in addition to a series of workshops and discussions related to the tourism sector will be organized.

This initiative comes as a fundamental support to the strategic partnership between the private sector and civil society associations and the Bahrain Tourism Authority and long-term exhibitions to develop the tourism sector, especially tourism conferences and highlight the tourism components to support the efforts that enhance the contribution of the tourism sector positively in the GDP in line with the vision of the Kingdom Economic 2030.
