Bahrain based integrated marketing agency, FROM6 is thrilled to announce the launch of one of their largest projects to date, the branding and launch of SalamAir. FROM6 won a competitive pitch against multiple regional and international branding agencies in March 2016 for the opportunity to launch Oman’s very first low-cost airline. The agency has produced a strong strategic brand identity for SalamAir as well as supported the launch with a full integrated communications strategy, airplane livery, website, mobile app and launch campaign.
“We have worked hard to develop a strong identity that we believe has the potential to help change the landscape of air travel in Oman. The MENA region has huge potential for growth in this industry and SalamAir aims to fill the gap in offering a low cost carrier to the public. We are proud to have been part of such an important project for the Sultanate of Oman and are extremely excited to see the airline come to life.” Shared Mrs. Pennie Nixon, Managing Director of FROM6.
SalamAir sets out to provide more choice and flexibility when people are shaping their journeys and offering them great experiences through genuine Omani hospitality. The SalamAir motive is to keep everyone smiling by offering a low cost and flexible flying options, which aims to increase tourism in Oman and encourage Omani locals to travel more.
The initiative is one of the flagship projects of the Muscat National Development and Investment Company (ASAAS). ASAAS commenced the project with the aim of increasing the contribution of non-oil and gas sectors within the country and to develop economically sustainable projects within Oman.
SalamAir is launching in three phases; the first phase was held on October 11th, where the brand identity was initially revealed to the public and media. The second phase will take place in November 2016 with the commencement of tickets sales being announced. The third and final phase of the project will be the airline’s inaugural flight that will set off from Salalah to Muscat in December 2016.
