Hold your breath as the City Centre Bahrain has brought to life the largest version of the world-famous ‘Snakes and Ladders’ board game. For the first time-ever! a Bahraini version will be featured, for the delight of the young and young-at-heart, from August 1st to 31st, 2016.
The board game ‘Snakes and Ladders’ awaits friends and families with a twist: the game will feature Bahrain’s history through iconic miniature landmarks of the Kingdom. Players will be able to get educated about Bahrain, all while enjoying the thrill and competition of the game and the chance to win exciting prizes.
To participate, visitors simply have to spend BD30 in shopping, dining, or entertainment at City Centre Bahrain and present their receipts to the lifestyle destination’s Customer Service desks, to receive a participation coupon. Players will get a chance to win exciting prizes from the participating retailers in addition to the weekly prizes of BD 1,000 worth in gift cards.
City Centre Bahrain’s version, will host up to 4 players and feature a numbered path, allowing participants to discover and learn about the Kingdom’s history through its iconic landmarks. Players will have fun navigating on an edutainment journey and by rolling the dice hoping to land on a ladder, which will offer a short-cut closer to the finish line, and avoiding the ‘snakes’ that will make them go backwards on the giant board. Players to reach the end will be rewarded with an exciting prize, while all players have a chance to win surprises along the way, provided by participating retailers.
“At Majid Al Futtaim we continuously innovate to deliver first time experiences for our customers, and as part of the company’s vision to create great moments, for everyone, every day” said Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager for City Centre Bahrain.
One of the game board’s blocks will be allocated for charity donations. Every time a player ‘falls’ on the allocated space, BD 1 will be donated to Bahrain Down Syndrome Society – a charity organisation that provides support to health, psychology, education and social services to individuals with Down Syndrome in Bahrain. The total donations from the game will provide essential school supplies to children that have been diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
So, let the good times roll! Everyone is welcome to try their luck, and make their way up to victory through the ladders!
