Created by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), the Government Directory app contains a regularly updated list of all ministries and government authorities’ hotlines and landlines, social media accounts, and geographic locations on the interactive Bahrain map. The app also includes the details of senior and high-ranking officials in government organizations, such as Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Chief Executives, Assistant Undersecretaries, Directors, Advisors, and others. This in addition to details of more than 700 government employees, and the data of 55 public entities.
The app was created with an open-door policy in mind, streamlining communication between the public and the government. Private sector companies can benefit significantly from the app, especially when inviting officials for their events, as users will learn the standard protocol requirements when they search for specific names and positions. The app adds even more convenience by allowing users to call, send emails, or add contacts to their Favorites.
