- Marassi Beach to host mid-Ramadan festival open to the public
- Activities to include henna painting, falconry, pottery making and fraisa band
Marassi Beach is to be home to a Gerga’oon festival on 8th June, alive with activities including henna painting, a falcon display, a fraisa drum and dance band, pottery making, live cooking, traditional story-telling and games. Gerga’oon is deeply rooted in Gulf culture, and is normally marked with children dressing in traditional attire and going door-to-door to receive sweets and nuts from neighbours, whilst singing songs. The Marassi Gerga’oon festival will kick off from 9 pm and will be open to the public to enjoy the ongoing activities suited for the whole family.
