Marassi Shores Residences set to be completed within two years

EAGLE HILLS AWARDS MAJOR CONTRACT FOR MARASSI SHORES RESIDENCES TO DADABHAI CONSTRUCTION

  • Dadabhai Construction brings 40-years of experience to the large-scale Marassi Al Bahrain development
  • Marassi Shores Residences set to be completed within two years

Eagle Hills Bahrain, a private real estate investment and development company, announced the award of a major construction contract for Marassi Shores Residences, within the Marassi Al Bahrain development, to Dadabhai Construction, a first-grade building contractor and part of the Dadabhai Group. The award was made official at a ceremony held at Marassi Al Bahrain’s sales center within the master-development Diyar Al Muharraq. The event was attended by several key figures from both companies, including Eagle Hills Bahrain Managing Director Dr. Maher Al Shaer and General Manager Mr. Daniel Hammond, and Dadabhai Group Chairman Mr. Mohammed Dadabhai.

Commenting on the signing of the contract, Mr. Hammond said: “The award of this partnership contract and the kick-off of construction of Marassi Shores Residences brings the total site area currently under construction to a significant 8,800 sqm. Marassi Shores is a U-shaped property with superior amenities, surrounding a private leisure complex and directly adjacent to our retail promenade and beach. It is a key component of Marassi Al Bahrain, and one of the most demanding, as up to 900 construction workers will be working at the site during peak hours. Dadabhai Construction has been involved in many major developments in Bahrain over the past 40 years, including several residential and commercial landmarks. We are therefore confident of the quality and level of commitment they bring to the table, and look forward to a timely completion of Marassi Shores Residences in within two years’ time.”

Dadabhai Group Managing Director Mr. Shabeer Dadabhai said: “We look forward to a strong long-term relationship with Eagle Hills Bahrain and to put our experience and full efforts behind this spectacular project.  Dadabhai Construction has successfully completed several projects of similar scope, including Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) residential complex buildings in Sitra, and many others.”

Marassi Shores Residences has a waterfront location with a direct access to the 2-km long Marassi Beach. It is a two-minute walk away from new-to-market hotels, The Address Marassi Al Bahrain and Vida Marassi Al Bahrain, and the landmark shopping and entertainment destination, Marassi Galleria, offering convenient access to extensive retail, restaurants and café options. The U-shaped building surrounds a podium with stunning sea views, housing a collection of 287 elegantly designed and spacious studio, one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments, along with penthouses, staggered across 11 storeys.

Ground was broken on Phase 1 of the master development in September 2016, incorporating Marassi Galleria, Marassi Residences and Vida Marassi Al Bahrain Hotel & Serviced Residences. Main works on the first phase is on track to deliver a unique master-planned urban development, offering 875,000 sqm of waterfront residential, hospitality, retail and entertainment spaces.

Upon completion, Marassi Al Bahrain will be home to 22,000 residents with a total of 6,000 residences and a total retail space of 250,000sqm, making a significant contribution to Bahrain’s economy and creating over 1,200 jobs.
