Citizens eligible for government housing services can now submit and follow up on applications online  through the latest batch of eServices available through the National Portal, bahrain.bh.

Provided by the Ministry of Housing, in cooperation with the Information & eGovernment Authority, the new services cover a wide range of solutions, and can be accessed through bahrain.bh by ekey account. Services include “Apply for housing requests’’, which allow citizens to submit their applications for new housing units or allocations of ministry-owned land to build their own units at their expense.

The housing requests can be availed by several types of individuals, with the first category being husbands, wives, and children. The second category covers parents living with one or more Bahraini sons who are minors, and Bahraini wives of expatriates who have one Bahraini national son who is a minor. The third category consists of sons who are single, 21 years of age, and living with one or both of their Bahraini parents.

In addition to “Request Status Inquiry” and “Update Contact and IBAN Bank Details”. The new services also cover “Apply for Mazaya Request”, which is a social housing funding program which enables beneficiaries to receive bank financing that they can pay back with 25% of their monthly income, and other financing requests for purchase, construction, and reconstruction.
