NBAD hires Head of Transaction Management

National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), has appointed Richard Stumbles as Head of Transaction Management, Debt Origination and Distribution.

Mr. Richard is a UK qualified lawyer with over 15 years’ experience in debt capital markets transaction management.  He joins NBAD from HSBC in Dubai where he headed the MENA Transaction Management Group in Capital Financing. Prior to this he worked in similar roles at Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank in London.

Andy Cairns, Global Head of Debt Origination and Distribution at NBAD, said: “Richard brings market leading expertise having worked on many of the region’s landmark financing transactions of the past 7 years. NBAD is committed to delivering expert advice and assistance to borrowers in all aspects of transaction documentation spanning bonds, Sukuk and syndicated loans. I am confident that Richard’s joining gives us a competitive advantage in making the fundraising process as straightforward as possible for our clients.”

Last year, NBAD has raised AED73.38 billion equivalent via bond, Sukuk and syndicated loan markets for UAE clients, more than any other domestic or international bank in 2015, according to Dealogic, the capital markets data provider.
