Al Watani savings, the path-breaking savings scheme from NBB that rewards customers for saving money, ushered in the New Year as usual with the announcement of the final three Mega Prizes winners for 2017. The much anticipated luxury villa prize at prestigious Riffa Views went to Moahmed Ahmed Haji while 2 Kgs Gold were won by Mustafa Abdulla Ali and Jaffar Madan Ali, 1 KG each. The prizes were awarded in a glittering ceremony held in the Bank’s premises in Manama and attended by NBB’s CEO, Mr. Jean Christophe Durand, the Bank’s Chief Executive – Retail, Commercial & SMEs, Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Ahmed, members of the senior management and the media.
Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Haji expressed his happiness for this award and said: “I am an old investor in the Bank for the past 48 years. I started my career with Bahrain Aluminum Company (Alba) and throughout these years I have seen the professionalism of the managers and employees of the Bank. I tried to find out from the employees over the past few days the nature of prize but I was given the same reply which was: “Look forward to the moment of the announcement.” I thank everyone who is dedicated in his work at this National Bank, which was and will remain distinguished and professional.”
While congratulating the winners on winning the MEGA prizes, Mr.Abdul Aziz Al Ahmed said, “NBB has always been known for its commitment to improve on our efforts to better serve our customers. I would like to congratulate the winners and feel very glad to get this opportunity to share their joy along with their families. NBB has constantly focused on providing the best customer service and have been fittingly rewarded by the loyalty and conviction customers have reposed in us. Al Watani Savings Scheme aims to reward the Bank’s esteemed customers for their loyalty and encourage the habit of savings within the community. With such high goals, the Scheme prizes were well-received among customers who look forward to these winning chances as they represent their dreams and aspirations. That is not all, the customer’s dreams get renewed with the revamping of the programme each season and they are now anticipating the re-launch of Al Watani Savings Scheme for 2018.
One of the key elements behind the success of this programme has been the ease of participation. All customers who have a savings account with NBB are automatically entered in the draw. The savings account needs to have only a minimum average monthly deposit of BD 50 to qualify for the monthly prizes. In addition to the savings programme, the account itself offers a wide variety of benefits to customers including internationally accepted debit card, the convenience of Internet banking from anywhere in the globe, the ease of making electronic payments as well as transfers and a whole host of other such benefits.
