HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports has named Mr Tawfiq Al Salehi, Director of His Highness Media Office and Information Centre as CEO of the 6th Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan Sports Tournament “Nasser 13” which will take place during the holy month of Ramadan.
On this occasion, CEO Al Salehi expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his constant confidence and support to Nasser 13. Nasser 13 is considered a comprehensive national sporting project. It carries noble objectives for youth and sport movements.
“HH Shaikh Nasser’s support has contributed to making this event reach its 13th edition in football and 6th for other games. Since its launch, the event has managed to supply national clubs with players. Some of whom have even represented our national teams. This was one of the objectives of this tournament and now we are reaping the fruits.” Mr Al Salehi said. “The event has gone even further than that by introducing many successful administrators. Some of them are now working for national clubs too. It gives us great pride when we remember the first edition of the tournament which commenced in 2007.” he added.
