VIVA Bahrain, through its Corporate Social Responsibility arm, VIVA Jusoor, has extended its support to the local community by opening the new medical emergency unit in the Muharraq Social Welfare Centre (MSWC).
The official opening was held in the presence of Eng. Ulaiyan Al Wetaid, VIVA’s CEO and Mr. Waleed Al Zamil, Chairman of MSWC along with board members of the Centre.
The new emergency unit has medical equipment including oxygen cylinders, vital signs monitor, medicine trolley and a specialized refrigerator for storage of medication. It offers free emergency services to all elderly residents of the centre.
In addition, VIVA will contribute to further enhance the services, medical supplies, homing equipment and recreational amenities of the centre.
The MSWC currently accommodates 62 senior residents and provides free social, health, psychological, living and recreational care services. It also delivers care, rehabilitation, and treatment for the elderly in their place of residence.
