Next iPhone, featuring Force Touch Coming Soon

Apple has already got its suppliers producing the next iPhone, and the new device includes Force Touch.

The new phones will come in the same 4.7-inch and 5.5-sizes as the iPhone 6 and feature similar designs, reports Bloomberg, citing unnamed sources with knowledge of the situation.

VentureBeat reported in early June that Apple was working on adding Force Touch to the next generation of iPhones, which might be called the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Force Touch is a touch screen technology that detects the force with which the user is pressing a finger down on the touchscreen.

The feature could have any number of applications on the phone and could simplify the existing user interface.

The technology has already been used in the Apple Watch and in the trackpad of the new MacBook.

The Bloomberg report says that high volume manufacturing of the new phones will get going as soon as next month.

Bloomberg‘s sources said that they aren’t expecting any serious glitches to the final assembly of the new phones.

But, the people said, there’s still a chance that supply chain problems could occur if a significant portion of the new Force Touch-enabled screens don’t pass quality assurance testing.
