Tell us about the magazine and what inspired you to start it?

I always wanted to write a book about all my food findings and my journey to explore the food scene around the world. One day my relative Sheikh Khalifa Duaij Al-Khalifa saw my interview with Bahrain TV and he wondered why I did not start writing my book. Then, offered to help and suggested me to start with a magazine where I  could document my favourite spots. The idea just turned into a reality. Sheikh Khalifa and Nasser Alhamer helped me with the establishment. My company Eleven & Bridge is a parent company of Kuisines Digital Magazine.

What are the projects are you into?

Currently working with the team in Eleven & Bridge to expand Kuisines Magazine, where we will have local agents and offices across the Gulf region. We are also working on our F&B Lab where we will share and create new dishes for each issue. In addition to taking Kuisines to the next level and establishing a food consultancy where we can put our efforts and creativity into a beneficial level for the F&B sector in the area.  We also started recruiting foodies from around the world to be part of Kuisines family with our first offered position to be “A Pancake Eater”.

Tell us about your journey to get where are you?

I’ve been a keen food blogger for some time now. Blogging really has transformed my life upside down! My reason for blogging has always been to list and detail my various food journeys and escapes into curious culinary creations along with my travels. I believe my blog #HkFinds was just the beginning, as the team in Kuisines and I are ready to move onto the next level of culinary reviews and reporting with passion and a taste for the new!

Whats the best advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received was “Just keep going” & “You can do it”\

What is one piece of advice for the future generation?

“If I did it, you also can do it and anyone can do it.” I took the risk and jumped.  I still remember the day when I quit my job to turn my dream into reality, now my passion and my dream is my lifetime career.

What are your business values for a successful business?

Successful businesses are built on the same values as any strong and happy families are built on. So just like any family stays strong and happy the same way successful businesses values which are transparency, ambitious, adaptability and integrity.

What have been the major challenges so far?

One of the challenges we have been facing since day one with Kuisines is that to always make sure how can we be unique from the rest of the food blogger or magazines as we’ve been noticing a growing trend in food bloggers and travel writers who are focusing on the different cuisines available all over the globe. When we decided to set up Kuisines we were looking for anyone looking to share their edible discoveries on their travels far and wide, by focusing on showcasing what the world cuisines can offer with the latest interactive technology. So, I would say how to stay unique and still do well in a competitive market.

What are the other things that interest you?

I would say video games. Back in the days, I used to work as an intern for one of the magazine’s where I used to review video games and used to extensively write gaming related feature articles related.

Who or what has been your biggest inspiration?

My mother. I have had culinary experience from around the world
but till date, she remains to be my all time favourite chef. Her cooking in
the first place got me doing what I am doing and has helped me discover my passion.
