One of the five pillars of Islam, the mandatory payment of Zakat, comes as great help to those in need. It is not only paid by individuals, but also by companies, who often choose to pay it around this time of the year as they prepare to close their annual budgets.
Individuals or companies can use one of the best ways of paying zakat which is via the Islamiyat app, that is not only secure and easy to use, but ensures you still get to help your community while maintaining social distancing.
Provided by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments (MOJ), in collaboration with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), the Islamiyat app contains a number of useful features, including ‘zakat’ payment processing. The amount is calculated based on gold’s current market rate and world’s currency exchange websites. For added convenience, the app offers a number of payment options and the choice of anonymity, as users are not required to share any personal details other than their phone numbers.
The app also spotlights a number of charities and projects to which users can donate. All the listed entities fall under the Ministry, which ensures that your contributions will go to the right destinations.
