With the finest olive oil, the most flavorsome plum tomatoes, cheeses, sauces and a wide range of specialty pasta, Lulu Hypermarket inaugurated its lip-smacking Italian Food Week at the Atrium Mall in Saar. The Festival was inaugurated by Italian Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Domenico Ballato.
The popular promotion brought the best of Italian taste to Bahrain and there was a 30% discount on selected Italian products as well. At the inauguration, Italian musician Adriano Loretti welcomed guests with some lively Italian tunes on the saxophone.
A cookery demo was done by the world-famous Roberto Panizza, President of the Palatifini Cultural Association and founder of the Pesto World Championship who demonstrated the secret of making the world’s best hand-pounded pesto sauce. He was be assisted by Emilio Pescarolo, winner of the 2018 World Pesto Championship. The demo also included tasting and special offers on genuine Genovese pesto at the Italian Food Week Festival.
