Registration opens for Bahrain Food Festival

In celebration of ‘Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016’, the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority is hosting Bahrain Food Festival from February 25th until 3rd of March 2016 at Block 338, Adliya, a culinary exhibition that showcases the Kingdom’s emergence as a gastronomy destination.

“Following the remarkable success of the Bahrain Gaming Experience, we are eager to prepare for the Bahrain Food Festival which will be a platform to showcase the Kingdom’s rich culture from a different point of view, focused on uniqueness and vitality,” commented Shaikh Khaled Bin Humood Al Khalifa, Acting Chief Executive of the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority.

“The Bahrain Food Festival aims to encourage diversity, creativity and the unique multicultural nature of the Kingdom, while highlighting new and varied culinary concepts, restaurants and hospitality that the Kingdom has to offer,” he added.

The festival mainly aims to promote shops and outlets that sell local food and drinks, with more than 30 preeminent outlets participating. Participants will also include businesses and concepts related to the food industry such as nutrition, kitchen appliances and more.

With an aim to create an unforgettable culinary experience, the Bahrain Food Festival will offer visitors quality driven and unique repertoire of international and cultural cuisine along with a schedule of live entertainment suitable for the whole family. The festival will run daily on the aforementioned dates from 4:00pm until midnight.

The Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority invites all businesses related to the food industry such as manufactures, nutritionists, restaurateurs, catering services and more to register for the festival which will attract Bahraini residents and tourist from neighboring countries.
