Before venturing out onto the roads, drivers need to keep in mind that their license and other necessary documents are up-to-date and in good shape. To help add to their convenience, the National Portal, bahrain.bh enables you to request a replacement for your lost or damaged driving license.
Provided by the General Directorate of Traffic (GDT), in cooperation with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), the service is quick and efficient for citizens, residents, and business owners with vehicles registered in their company’s name. It comes as part of a wider range of traffic eServices available on the National Portal bahrain.bh , which include updating of contact details, renewals of vehicle registration and driving licenses, traffic fine payments, traffic certificate issuances, and vehicles record enquiries, among others. Which are also reachable through eTraffic app that can be downloaded via bahrain.bh/apps.
To request a replacement of lost or damaged driving licenses via the National Portal, users can type out the request in the search engine or visit the GDT services page, select the desired service, and then enter the required information. Details that will need to be added include personal numbers, ID card expiry dates, block numbers, and license category (motorcycle or private or another category). Users will need to access the service using their eKey. Renewal is applicable to any type of license be it for a car, bike, bus etc. saving customers time and effort having all the vehicle requirements at a click of a button.
