Salman Al Mahmeed announces National functional substitution Plan in (BAS)

Mr. Salman Al Mahmeed, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Services Company (BAS), announced that the company has launched a national functional substitution plan. And he added that BAS is proud to be one of Bahrain’s favorite work destinations.

Based on BAS’s strategy of investing in human resources and enhancing the capabilities of national cadres, Salman Al Mahmeed said: “We have established a training program to develop business management skills, targeting young employees, those we aspire to in the future, to reach higher managerial positions. Where the program was designed by the Department of Education and Training in the company in accordance with international standards and developments in the business world”.

He expressed: “We have already started working on the program, with around 18 of employees are currently involved, in order to enhance the company’s future vision, as we establish future classes of future managers, who follow their career development first hand”. In particular, BAS’s vision is based on creating a working environment that ensures trust and fairness.

And he added: “BAS emphasizes the principles of fairness, competitiveness and equal opportunities in terms of training and promotions, and that those who can prove their competence and abilities will be eligible to participate in this program, National cadres and their support for a better career future”.

Mr. Al Mahmeed said that BAS, which is celebrating soon the 40th anniversary of its founding, has benefited from its accumulated experience in various areas of its work, especially education and training.

Established in 1977, Bahrain Airport Services Company (BAS) is the only land services operator at Bahrain International Airport since it was established as the first international airport in the Arabian Gulf region. A trusted name in the world of services as a company certified by the Air Transport Safety Audit Program of the International Air Transport Association. The pass offers a number of commercial activities including aircraft and passenger handling services, catering services, aircraft engineering services, the Bas Engineering Training Center (BAETC), as well as owning and managing airport lounges.
