Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities are delighted to partner with MTE Studios as they are well known in the region when it comes to edutainment. Bringing science theatre to the youth is the first step to future collaboration for innovative shows and workshops. The aim is to provide a variety of activities in Nakhool City and having an experienced science theatre actor like David Muller all the way from South Africa adds new dynamism to Nakhool City activities portfolio.

David will bring Heathcote Williams’ Whale Nation to the shores of Bahrain as homage to nature’s largest sea wonder. He effectively paints a moving scenario that enlightens and entertains with the aim to awaken and spur the audience to reform their thinking about how they look after our natural resources. Whale Nation is a must see for everyone serious about conserving the planet.

The second production, Imagining Einstein, shows through entertainment how Albert Einstein lived, worked, studied and ultimately developed mathematical and physical theories that changed the way we see the universe. David becomes Einstein on stage, demonstrating and explaining the four papers the genius wrote in 1905. The audience will leave the theatre feeling inspired to read and study further the science around which this icon lived.

The Arabian Tales documents the journey of Ibn Battuta who left his town in northern Morocco initially to go for Hajj and when in Mecca, he met so many people from all over the world that he decided not to go home immediately. Little did he know that he would travel for 29 years. David asks the audience to partake in this play so that they may have a better understanding of what Ibn Battuta encountered on his travels such as the many wonderful inventions and discoveries which took place during the Golden Age of Islam.

Other than science theatre, MTE Studios is also known worldwide for the global Travelling exhibition, Sultans of Science and Islamic Science Rediscovered, which has been hosted by prestigious venues around the globe.
