Sheikh Humaid opens new mosque in Ajman

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, performed noon prayers at the Sheikha bint Saeed Al Nuaimi Mosque in Rashidiya 3, to mark its inauguration.

Sheikh Humaid was briefed at his arrival by officials about the mosque’s design while praising the support of the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the emirates.

He also expressed his happiness at the desire of local residents to build mosques while praising the efforts of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments to care for mosques and Quran recital centres.

Sheikh Humaid performed prayers with several sheikhs, dignitaries, directors of government departments, senior officials and people coming for prayers.

Obaid Hamad Al Zaabi, Director of the Ajman Branch of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, praised the support of Sheikh Humaid for Ajman’s mosques.

He added that the Sheikha bint Saeed Al Nuaimi Mosque is a new addition to the UAE’s mosques, and especially those in Ajman, and is characterised by its Islamic architecture and its capacity of 600 people, who can pray in an upper prayer section and a women’s prayer section.
