Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art Series Lens – Part 2

I have had received a good number of feedback from fellow photographers that the Sigma 50mm 1.4 Artseries Lens is great for portraits. It was an intriguing statement so I decided to test the lens myself and have my own personal verdict of its performance.

You may remember my previous post with the Harley Davidson Rider however I felt the need to get more sample images using the Sigma 50mm Artseries Lens. So, accompanied by a colleague, we went to Manama for a street portrait shoot; an opportunity to maximize the full potential of the lens.

Roaming around Bab Al Bahrain, I approached a few people who possessed that unique character in terms of their looks – a long bearded fellow, an action star looking brother from Pakistan, and more. The activity required a lot of observation and creativeness. It was a fun and exhausting commitment. Anyway, at the end of the day, there is no better feeling than doing what you love to do.

These are a few sample image that I want to share. My conclusion, I do agree, a 50mm Artseries lens is indeed a wonderful lens.

Sigma lens are available at Yaquby Stores in Bab Al Bahrain and Seef mall.
