With the aim of providing social and psychological support to cancer-stricken children and their families, “Smile” initiative of the Future Society for Youth saves the children within the framework of the its program conducted an activity to celebrate birthdays of sick children at Sports Training Complex in Saar Avenue.
During the event, volunteers of the society held activities for the sick children with the participation of a number of their peers in a festive atmosphere that included games and gifts distribution.
Future Youth Society chairman Mr. Subah Al Zayani noted that “smile” initiative hold birthday parties each for months to celebrate children’s birthdays, pointing to the keenness of the initiative to hold these celebrations in public malls instead of the headquarters of the Society in order to educate community about lack of information and to avoid high risk of anxiety between parents and siblings once their child is diagnosed with cancer.
