Over 10,000 spectators attended the Spartan Race at Bahrain International Endurance Village.
The event is under the patronage of Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
He stressed the importance of hosting such sporting events and activities that play an important role in stimulating and boosting the tourism sector in Bahrain as they attract a huge turnout of athletes and spectators.
“This is in line with the Kingdom’s policy that aims at diversifying income sources. Sports tourism is now among the most important tools to help attract tourists,” Shaikh Nasser said.
He then congratulated the winners of the event and all those who participated in it for their competitive spirit.
Moreover, he underlined the importance of spreading the sports culture and its social importance by hosting such events and activities.
