The Bahrain Fort Museum will host a special screening of the classic Lebanese film Safar Berlik on Thursday (March 28) at 7:00 pm. Organized in collaboration with the Lebanese Embassy, the 1967 production is set in Ottoman-era Lebanon and follows the story of Adla, played by Fairouz, who goes on a search for her fiancé Abdo after being forcibly taken by Ottoman forces.

The following evening (March 29), Scottish singer-songwriter Scott Booth will headline a special concert at the Cultural Hall at 8:00 pm. Booth’s frenetic style is a unique concoction of 6-string finger-picking and complex rhythmic guitar percussion laid over pulsating and distorted yet silky crescendos that regularly leave audience in awe of its sheer complexity.

The events are part of the 2019 Spring of Culture season organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA). Full details on all the Spring of Culture shows, events, and activities are available on (www.springofculture.org) and on (@springofculture) on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
