St Chris students Jamie Price, 17 (Year 12) and Kizzy Price, 15 (Year 11) are doing very well with their triathlon accomplishments.
They were introduced to the King after taking part in the recent Iron Man competition, and met Sheikh Nasser as well. They also got to spend time with the pros who were competing including Daniella Ryf who won the Triple Crown prize, which was really inspiring for them.
Both competed in this year’s Iron Man competition in teams. Jamie cycled and did the 90km in 2 hours 35 minutes. He was disappointed with the time as it was slower than his usual pace, but the conditions were not easy with the strong winds, so he did fantastically well.
Kizzy’s team won the mixed team event, however as the swim was cancelled and that was her leg of the event. She also competed in the Women’s 5k race the day before and won it after a very exciting race and a sprint finish.
They are both planning to take part in the Junior Triathlon series in the Gulf region in the New Year, building up to the Arab championships, which they are really excited about it
