Batelco Training Centre has celebrated its successful learning and development for 2015 with an award ceremony held recently at Batelco’s Hamala Headquarters. During the event, management and staff were recognised for their great efforts in addition to a number of training partners who were recognised for their support to Batelco’s Training Centre throughout 2015.
A large number of staff were honoured for their achievements in successfully completing a range of programmes. The honour roll included those who obtained professional qualifications and certifications in a range of programmes including Cisco, Management & Leadership, Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL, and many more. Additionally, Telecom apprentices were also recognised as part of a five year project. Furthermore, staff that were part of a newly launched Sales Development programme were recognised and a special gift was given to the participants who produced the top 10 winning videos as part of the programme.
The majority of the successful candidates were present at the celebratory event to receive their awards from Batelco Bahrain CEO Muna Al Hashemi, Batelco Bahrain HR & Corporate Services General Manager Suhaila Alnowakhda and Batelco Head of HR & Union Relations Shaikh Bader Al Khalifa.
Mrs. Alhashemi said that Batelco’s employees are the Company’s greatest assets and the backbone on which our great establishment has been built.
“Therefore, we make it a priority to nurture our employees and provide educational opportunities to help with their development and career prospects.”
“Today’s Learning & Development Awards event showcases their dedication and hard work and we are very proud of their combined efforts. Going forward we will continue to support and encourage our staff in all aspects of their career journey,” Mrs. Al Hashemi added.
Mrs. Alnowakhda congratulated all the high achievers on their success and offered encouragement to all to continue with more learning programmes during the year ahead.
“Batelco has always emphasised on the benefits of empowering employees by developing them in order to help them progress within their working fields and beyond. In 2016 we will continue this learning journey and will aim at expanding our range of training courses,” said Mrs. Alnowakhda.
Shaikh Bader also congratulated all the staff on their achievements and added that the Awards Lunch is a very popular event which the employees look forward to annually and is a great way to recognise their contributions and efforts in the field of learning and development.
