Last week the action at the Nakhool Gardens was all about being nostalgic. The vintage cartoon festival gave the elders a chance to cherish the revival of their long gone childhood days and to the kids to marvel at the cartoons created without the advanced technologies available today.

The African week that ran from 14th to the 20th of August at the Nakhool Gardens included free story-telling sessions, creative workshops and great activities. Parents could participate along with their kids in several of the activities like building a ship, Bahraini embroidery, recycle art and designing cartoon characters. More surprises were unveiled at the Gardens at Sitra Mall, as the kingdom’s favorite ‘Baba Yasin’ visited the place to tell visitors all about the heritage of Bahrain and special contests were held for the little participants.

With the Sesame Street friends taking the stage with their wonderful tunes, the Summer Festival this year has entered its last weeks of festivities.
