Tamkeen Signs agreement with BFA

Tamkeen signed an agreement with Bahrain Football Association (BFA) to support the training and employment of Bahrainis in the sports sector. Under this agreement Tamkeen will support training for a number of Bahrainis and will provide them with professional certificates in various fields such as coaching, physical therapy, accounting and others, to equip them with the necessary skills to work in various sports clubs.

On this occasion, Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, stated the importance of supporting all economic sectors, including the sports sector as it also offers job opportunities for Bahraini citizens in institutions and sports clubs.

“In Tamkeen, we focus on the impact derived from the initiatives that we support, we have seen this initiative as an opportunity to encourage Bahrainis towards the sports sector, and this is through the national labour forces which qualifies for the advancement of this sector, and to achieve the best results” he added.

He also praised this cooperation with the Bahrain Football Association stating, “We are delighted with this partnership with the Bahrain Football Association, we are continuously working towards partnering with different associations that contribute to the private sector in the Kingdom.”

Shaikh Ali Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa president of Bahrain Football Association, expressed his pleasure with this partnership and said: “we at BFA seek to establish the right environment for skillful athletes and nurture them through our continuous support and help them to achieve professionalism aiming to position the Kingdom of Bahrain in the international sports map.”

He added “This initiative that aims to train Bahrainis and create more job opportunities in the sports field, is inspired by the leaderships wise directions of His Majesty the King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.

Shaikh Ali also added:” We at BFA, appreciate the continuous support of Shaikh Salman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, the President of the Asian Football Confederation, His Excellency Mr. Hesham Bin Mohammed Al-Jowder, Minister of Youth & Sports Affairs, and Mr. Abdulrahman Askar – Bahrain Olympic Committee Acting General Secretary. We also want to express our appreciation towards Tamkeen’s efforts and programs aimed to provide the most nurturing environment for Bahrainis creativity and success.

It is worth mentioning that during the last two years Tamkeen supported the sports sector with over one million Bahraini Dinars and provided support for the sports organizations within the business development program.

Tamkeen also supported training and rehabilitation of many Bahrainis to obtain professional certificates in over 10 different sports disciplines, including sports management, training, arbitration, scuba diving and others.
