ThaiMart remains on track to open in the fourth quarter of this year in the iconic masterplan Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the most visionary and progressive urban developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain. ThaiMart is set to be the region’s first “Thai-Inspired” shopping destination.
ThaiMart awarded the contract for the construction of the new shopping destination to Crown Electro – Mechanical Services as the official Vega ThaiMart W.L.L contractor during a signing ceremony which took place at the Sales Office in Diyar Al Muharraq on 17 July 2019. The mall has made significant progress so far, with 60% of their retail spaces leased and committed.
Commenting on this occasion, Akavut Tangsilikusonwong, Chief Executive Officer, Vega ThaiMart W.L.L. said, “With stable development on both construction and leasing, immeasurable support from Diyar Al Muharraq and different Thailand Government Sectors, we look forward to launching ThaiMart to the public during the last quarter of this year and offer a unique and diverse shopping, dining and entertainment experiences for the families and visitors”.

The project is scheduled for handover on or before October 1, 2019 and by then the site will be open for most of the mall tenants to come in and start their fit-out works.

ThaiMart will have a food court with tasteful Thai, international restaurants and regional chains. Jewelry zones, kids’ area and shopping alleys designed with safety and accessibility optimization to the retail outlets.
