ThaiMart – Showcasing Thailand’s Authentic Products in the Kingdom of Bahrain

ThaiMart remains on track to open in the fourth quarter of this year in the iconic masterplan Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the most visionary and progressive urban developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain. ThaiMart is set to be the region’s first “Thai-Inspired” shopping destination.

ThaiMart awarded the contract for the construction of the new shopping destination to Crown Electro – Mechanical Services as the official Vega ThaiMart W.L.L contractor during a signing ceremony which took place at the Sales Office in Diyar Al Muharraq on 17 July 2019. The mall has made significant progress so far, with 60% of their retail spaces leased and committed.

Commenting on this occasion, Akavut Tangsilikusonwong, Chief Executive Officer, Vega ThaiMart W.L.L. said, “With stable development on both construction and leasing, immeasurable support from Diyar Al Muharraq and different Thailand Government Sectors, we look forward to launching ThaiMart to the public during the last quarter of this year and offer a unique and diverse shopping, dining and entertainment experiences for the families and visitors”.

Staying true to its promise, Diyar Al Muharraq continues to focus its effort on delivering a unique offering and ThaiMart comes as part of its strategy to provide unique offerings within the business district and next to Dragon City that is proof to be great success in providing diverse retail experience within Diyar Al Muharraq.”

The solid business relationship between Thailand and Bahrain resulted in the birth of Thai Mart. With continuous economic support from both allies, they develop a long and strong cooperation which supports the new iconic Thai shopping destination at the southwest corner of Diyar Al Muharraq, Bahrain.

Diyar Al Muharraq is known to be the right location with the right environment for ThaiMart and after assessing the advantages for this location, Mr. Tangsilikusonwong added that Diyar Al Muharraq’s business district is the perfect place for ThaiMart to showcase Thailand’s authentic products to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The project is scheduled for handover on or before October 1, 2019 and by then the site will be open for most of the mall tenants to come in and start their fit-out works.

ThaiMart aims to provide a wide-range of striking Thai architecture, showcasing the trendiest and most exciting Thai products and services under one roof. It will also propel the shopping understanding with its impressive lineup of Thai retailers unsurpassed by any mall in Bahrain.
