The All-Electric Performance SUV, Jaguar I-PACE Set to Premiere at the Bahrain Grand Prix

Jaguar Bahrain is set to unveil its first-ever all-electric model, the Jaguar I-PACE, during the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend, which will take place from the 28th to 31st March 2019.

In collaboration with the Bahrain International Circuit, Jaguar Bahrain is set to exclusively unveil one of the most anticipated models during the Bahrain Grand Prix. The I-PACE will be revealed for the first time on the 28th of March and will remain on display up until the final race day. Visitors attending the Grand Prix will be the very first in the Kingdom to see Jaguar’s latest performance SUV.

The Jaguar I-PACE, dubbed as the world’s smartest five-seater sports car, offers outstanding driving experience that reflects its dynamic design. A sophisticated, all-electric powertrain provides high performance with zero tailpipe emissions. Jaguar I-TYPE Formula E racing car and I-PACE both use Permanent Magnet Synchronous Electric Motors and Lithium-ion pouch battery cell technology. These motors are small, compact and efficient, which significantly help to optimise performance and range.

The Jaguar I-PACE recently received the title of the European Car of the Year 2019. Its revolutionary design is both true to the spirit of Jaguar and the I-PACE Concept. From the pronounced front wheel arches to the rear diffuser, every supercar-inspired styling element allows I-PACE to slice cleanly through the air for maximum range and stability.

Commenting on the latest collaboration with Bahrain International Circuit and the I-PACE Mr. Stephen Lay, the General Manager of Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover said: “Due to our many successful collaborations with Bahrain International Circuit in the past, it brings us immense pleasure to once again be a part of the Bahrain Grand Prix and also officially unveil Jaguar’s first-ever all-electric performance SUV. For Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover, the unveiling of a much-awaited, never seen before Jaguar is an extremely significant moment in our calendar year, and to make it happen at Bahrain’s biggest event of the year is truly special. The I-PACE is the future. The revolutionary design combined with the innovative and compact electric motors incredibly transforms the driving experience. We look forward to welcoming all our guests to witness the unveiling. An unveiling that will certainly be a spectacle.”

The I-PACE seamlessly integrates technology and abundant space. The Interior design is clean and uncluttered, with tactile features and sweeping lines. The nature of the electric powertrains offers additional space, providing more freedom to maximise the comfort provided by I-PACE’s interior.

The I-PACE is underpinned by an advance Electric Vehicle architecture created specifically for this car that delivers excellent driving dynamics while minimizing weight. These foundations are paired with a suspension proven on an F-PACE, XE and XF. The double wishbone suspension at the front and Integral Link suspension at the rear have been tuned to allow the driver to attain the perfect balance of dynamic handling and refinement while in the I-PACE
